Our wines are the outcome of the care we have with our vineyards, combining traditional methods with the most modern and innovative means.

Among 18 hectares of vineyards, you can find the grape varieties that are the soul of our wines:

Red Grapes Varieties - Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Touriga Nacional e Trincadeira.

White Grapes Varieties - Antão Vaz, Arinto e Verdelho.

We preserve the best of Alentejo lands, maintaining the tradition.

Vidigueira

Its temperate microclimate for the Alentejo area, where it is located, is excellent for vineyards. Its higher average rainfall, combined with mild temperatures and soil conditions (schist lands), give the wines greater minerality. Vidigueira is also known as the great white wines region of Alentejo.

Harvesting is the first operation to be carried out in the winemaking process. Every year, the grape harvest date is chosen according to their ripeness and the weather conditions. Our wines are the result of the care we have with our vineyards, the harvest and in the winery, combining traditional methods with the most modern and innovative means.

From a long past childhood, remembering some wine harvest songs, in late August, the watered rose trees before sunrise, women with weird clothes, singing songs that looked like laments. Walking through the vineyards hand given with his father, in the afternoons of that specific Alentejo. Today, those memories are written in his soul. In the wine, his heritage.

Herdade dos Veros wine is born from the will to consolidate Morais Rocha wines range, reinforcing the veracity and authenticity of the wines that we produce in Vidigueira. A pure and true nectar, to offer unique moments and real feelings!

I do not define myself in words because I'm made of genuine feelings. Yes, I’m the result of the best combined grape varieties, but I finish much later, in a moment which is unique for each one, in a feeling that no one can repeat equally. So if you ask me to describe myself, I tell: sei lá!

The Morais Rocha Wines was born from the will, dreamed for a long time, to produce quality wines and olive oils, which express all the character provided by the Vidigueira region. The care with our products does not end with the sale. Morais Rocha house requires its exported products to be properly packed in containers so as to ensure that there are no changes in them, either by thermal differences or by other external aggressive agents.
